










Hoping for huge morning views. Camped right by the summit cairn, close to the cliff edge to avoid the strong winds rushing up and over the ridge. Heavy rain and wind all night. Momentary thoughts of the entire cliff sliding down to the valley bottom with me on it. Camped on a particularly uncomfortable lump because of the rush to avoid an incoming rain cloud. Stunning still morning with dense silent fog. Descending down below and above the cloud line. Heard from another hiker that I missed a light show from the aurora borealis behind the fog and clouds. Boggy valley bottom and heavily filled river blocking my preferred route
