A roadtrip around the area South of and into the Black Mountains of Wales. Exploring remote and formerly abandoned churches nestled high amongst hill tops and deep in secluded valleys. I had these churches to myself. Total silence. The first church was an adventure in itself - locked from the public but accessible via a secretly stashed key. Some unique aspects of these churches: beautiful embossed wall decorations, original wooden screens, and even a medieval image of Death - representing the short time we have left. The images finish on a church built on a landslide - now the wonkiest church in the UK (I think!) I couldn't capture just how much the room felt like a boat. Each end of the church was tilted dramatically towards different directions.
